Honorary professor for spatially related monument preservation

Studied geography, history and administrative science in Bamberg, Braunschweig and Bayreuth.

1987: Dissertation on the topic “The preservation of the historical cultural landscape”.

Since 1988 works Dr. Gunzelmann for the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments, now as main curator and head of the department “Civic Participation, Urban Heritage and World Heritage” at the Bavarian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments. 

Since 1996: Lecturer on the Master’s degree in Heritage Conservation at the University of Bamberg/Coburg University.

Publications on urban monument preservation, on historical-geographical cultural landscape research and on Franconian regional studies.
